Providing What Families and Their Loved Ones Need Most Since 2002

Our Story

Senior Helpers started in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross. Both had first-hand experience caring for family members and understood the need for senior care that is professional, compassionate, and comprehensive. While investigating the options available in senior care for their own relatives, they found that many caregivers didn’t respond to their inquiries, or seemed to lack professionalism or passion for their work.

It was clear to both that someone needed to address the deficiencies in this industry and provide a trustworthy and professional level of care to senior citizens. With Peter as his sounding board, Tony set out to create an organization that would fulfill those needs.

In 2002, Tony opened the first Senior Helpers office in Baltimore, MD. As he suspected, there were many people caring for their loved ones who needed the higher level of service that Senior Helpers provided.

Senior Helpers quickly developed a reputation for excellence, and not long afterward, in 2004, Peter joined Tony full time and opened a second office in Orange County, CA.

With Senior Helpers thriving on both coasts, Tony and Peter decided to sell Senior Helpers franchises as a way to bring their services to those in need throughout the country. By bringing motivated, passionate franchisees onto the Senior Helpers team, Senior Helpers Franchising, LLC has since continued to build a strong reputation for professional and compassionate senior care throughout the country.
